Mr Ramaano lives in Giyani and is passionate about baobab trees. He has established a Foundation that aims to plant baobab trees around South Africa. In 2024 his Foundation donated 10 trees to the University of Venda and in 2025 he donated 14 trees to Mopani District and 10 trees to the University of Limpopo.
Mr Ramaano’s Foundation is planning to donate baobab trees to each Tribal Office in Mopani and Vhembe districts to ensure that these trees are found everywhere in the region.
Mr Ramaano will be translating the Little Big Baobab Book into Tsonga language which is spoken by people in the Giyani area. The Baobab Foundation will print the books so that Mr Ramaano can distribute them to the local schools.
Furthermore, the Baobab Foundation has committed to trying to find funding to establish a Baobab Guardians project in Giyani and the surrounding areas which can be run by Mr Ramaano.
